Title Race: Weekend 13/3/10 Predictions Reaction & Review

Chelsea 4 -1 West Ham (My prediction: Chelsea 3 – 0 West Ham)

Turns out I wasn’t being harsh on Zola’s team in terms of the three goal deficit. A beauty from Scott Parker on his return to Stamford Bridge was something I didn’t take into account. A routine win for Chelsea, as expected

Hull City 1 – 2 Arsenal (My prediction: Hull City 1 – 1 Arsenal)

Argh! It’s that man again, Nicklas Bendtner, thwarting me a perfect score! Last week vs Burnley his woeful finishing denied me, this week  he went and got all clinical in front of goal to damage my prediction percentages! This wasn’t the only thing he affected however… he also snatched Arsenal a massive 3 points in a game that looked like it had slipped away.

Man Utd 3 – 0 Fulham (My prediction: Man Utd 2 -1 Fulham)

It was indeed a good time to be playing Fulham, sandwiched between two juicy Juventus ties for Hodgson’s Londoners. It was a walk in the park for United, inevitably with Wayne Rooney grabbing the crucial opening goals. They were two routine finishes for him really, with the hard work being done in the assists, by Nani and Berbatov respectively.

Title Favourites?

Still, just about, Chelsea following a weekend of wins for all three. But my hunch is United are gathering momentum here. Arsenal will be buoyed by a win in a match they played well below par in.
